i always thought it was so cheesy for those movie characters who feel sad and lonely. they are sad and lonely because they see a happy couple or a happy family or a picture of happiness.

with all that is happening.. i may seem happy. i feel high. then, feel sad again. crying again.. :(

since when did an inbox cost 199++ just like buffet in kamay kainan west avenue, QC?

hahaha. my inbox is flooding with mails. okay fine, it's not 199. around 172 from inbev, 31 from startgroup, 6 from volleyball and 63 from mdc community. (or should i say philippines dc community? hehe)

but just for the heck of catching your attention and for fun, i put 199. i know those numbers will not add to 199. i know my math alright?! and that's why i put ++. hahaha. 

mail is flooding because:

1) i was too busy to read because of my award-winning concentration on my object..none other than SC_06 Lo-gis-tics Op-ti-mi-za-tion.

2) i am absent for 4 days this week.

my eyes go only to emails with these subjects:

1) non-work/malditas

2) SC_06

3) jake

and sometimes i just click the very last email trail so that i get to open just one mail and read all the previous entries. 

or if i see a mail coming and it's ghost appears in the lower right screen (ya know what i'm talking about!) and if it is interesting, i click and read!

lola's bribe

dong, my brother, who's name is fondly coined by my lola when he was little and stuck all the way til today, is away for davao. yes, he is an avid fan of the coca cola players. and he'll be going for 4 days in davao to see them play and practice and play and practice. seriously, he's an assistant team manager if i'm not mistaken. 

enough about lola's favorite apo. hehehe. (don't worry i'm my lolo's fave..was.. :( ) 

so adi (his most popular nick right now) is away. lola does not have someone beside her on her bed. there had been a change of roles last year. 2006 and early 2007, i was always sleeping beside lola. but due to noisy tv at night by dong, i moved back to my room. seeing i was not going to change my mind unless he stops watching tv every night, he decided he stay with lola to sleep. 

but then today til sunday, lola does not have anybody to sleep beside her. and she'll be alone tonight. as i was going upstairs, she called my attention.

"wala ako kasama mamya.. tabi tayo. gusto mo palitan ko ung bedsheet?"

awww...

naku lola..kahit di na palitan ang bedsheet. tabi tayo. =)

koreanovelas

i was for a time hooked into these. my brother too. daddy is not a fan. sometimes lola watches..even way past her bedtime.

mama? she tells us she's not going to eat dinner coz she's full. rushes to the computer upstairs and tunes in to www.mysoju.com. it's a korean world!

 all those korean tv series all have english translations and all have english titles. amazing.

and she's reading the subtitles all the time. the voices of the koreans don't matter. they are just cues for who is talking. 

she's totally engrossed in it and anything you say to her will be absorbed with delay.. mama!.. mama! mama!!! MAMA!!! and when you caught her attention, 5..4..3..2..1... her eyes focus again on the pc screen. well, that doesn't happen all the time. sometimes, she will just rewind or just stop the video playing streaming on the dsl line. 

hehe. the pc we have now is mainly used for korean series watching. sometimes citrix access or upload of pictures in multiply. point is.. the screen of the monitor is quite overstretched (due to defective hardware) but she does not mind. the story is way engaging than noticing that itsy bitsy (but truly distracting) screen stretch.

but that's my mama! :) she's happy. i'm happy. :D

recent things i learned from my parents

just after i bought my medicine in mercury, daddy was waiting in the car. i noticed he moved the parking of the car. i mentioned this to him. he told me that there's a new violet rule. you are not allowed to park beyond the vioilet line. apparently, i did not notice this and am not even aware. thought the girly lines were only for buses. BF has announced it before i was born? most probably. haha. (blame it on cable; i've been watching too much velvet, e news, american idol, axn and lifestyle network. i know more csi, house, straight gay or taken, how do i look and the iron chefs of america than philippine news. how embarassing!)

the lurking mmda officers under the people bridge did not escape my daddy (i don't like calling him "dad", weird huh?) or his eyes i mean. so he instantly made the connection. all those left parked outside the violet line was charged. there were many. good business for mr. mmda. hahaha. oh well, lesson learned--yes, not at our expense. :)

i was not given antiobiotics til the second day at the doctor. (hmpf such a waste of money buying those extra muskolax tablets). mama elaborated that since measles was not yet ruled out of the list of possible sickness i have, i cannot take antibiotics. i could have died if i had measles and antibiotics.

she told me a story that when i was still a baby, i became sick. they brought me to the hospital and doctor gave me injections (antibiotics). this was done several times. and after each session, daddy was alarmed by how i always cried (the crybaby that i was) loudly after the shot. so just to ward off worries, they brought me to ust for another opinion. doctor immediately recognized measles. measles from the air/wind. and yes, i should not have taken antibiotics. good thing i cried. hehe. and to my loving parents, thank you. :D

what kind of listener are you?

how can u tell if someone is a good listener? how can anybody define good listener? it would be very subjective. just as confusing and hard as to pin what a "friend" is or any role at all.

what we know is a good listener does not hear, he LISTENS. right? right.

but it doesn't stop there. when one listens, you also give FEEDBACK. may it be a violent reaction, you may still call the listener a good listener right? or a good friend?

for those who listen, please do give time for me to rant. and rant. and rant. or rave triple times.

let me be. and go with how i think. 

i will give feedback to myself of my instant reflections. which i expect you to simply understand..or look like you understand me. so rant. so rave. rant and rave with me. because i will at the end.. whenever it comes.. will ask or will seem to truly ask for your feedback/reaction. and at that point, i am ripe and will be ready to accept reality, stop complaining, stop dreaming and hook myself to the ground. (drama!) 

because when i complain or be over ecstatic, i am releasing emotions. just my way of coping. i may cry. i may cry tears of joy. haha. im overwhelmed and need to let it out. and you--my good listener-- will comfort or share the happiness with me. 

after that, you can hit me hard with all your remarks and reiterate all my side comments. lecture me. give advise. whatever. at least, when i have released all my anger, frustration, anxiety, moments of bliss, euphoria... i will be more than ready to realize what i should do.

this is how i want to be listened to. and this is how i listen also. hehe. not bad?
